Android Technics

NPO Androidnaya Tekhnika, or Android Technics, is a Russian robotics contractor set up in 2009 in Magnitogorsk. Per the Wikipedia entry on FEDOR, the company says it has built over 110 robotic systems for medicine, education and space and employs 146 specialists; Yevgeny Dudorov is its executive director. Its main partners are the state bodies Advanced Research Foundation, Roscosmos and Rosatom.

Its best known machine is FEDOR, a 182 cm, 106 kg teleoperated humanoid built between 2015 and 2019, first as Avatar, a rescue robot funded by the Ministry of Emergency Situations. As Skybot F-850 it flew to the ISS on Soyuz MS-14 in August 2019, matched plug connectors in orbit and returned on 6 September 2019. Dudorov later said the robot could not replace a human on a spacewalk. A lunar robot project with Japan's GITAI, announced in December 2019, has shown no visible result.

The follow-on is Teledroid, a legless torso robot intended for work outside the ISS, driven through an exoskeleton and VR headset. Cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina began training on it in February 2026; in April 2026 Dudorov said a launch was planned for the third or fourth quarter of 2026. That report titled him deputy general director of Corporation Robotics, which suggests a restructuring. No launch had happened by September 2026.
