What the record says.
MagicLab (Mofa Yuanzi, legally Magiclab Robotics Technology (Wuxi) Co.) was founded in January 2024 as the robot arm of Dreame Technology, the Suzhou maker of robot vacuums and other appliances. It sits in Wuxi, Jiangsu, and builds both humanoids and quadrupeds, with its own joint modules, reducers, actuators, controllers and a dexterous hand. At the end of 2024 it said it had about 100 staff, more than 80 percent of them in R&D.
On 25 December 2024 the company announced a CNY 150 million angel round led by Zhuichuang Venture Capital with Yipu Fund, and said mass production would start in 2025 with a next-generation MagicBot due in the first quarter. The line now runs from the full-size MagicBot Gen1 for factory and service tasks to the small, fast MagicBot Z1 for research and education, and a wheeled D1 that MagicLab says works materials handling at Dreame's own plant. A further strategic round of several hundred million yuan was announced in May 2025, and Gasgoo later reported a CNY 500 million round.
The company's stated plan was several hundred humanoids delivered in 2025 and thousands in 2026, and it showed at IFA in Berlin in September 2026. Most named deployments are inside the Dreame group, which is both incubator and buyer, so outside demand is hard to judge from public information.
