New Technology Coalition

The New Technology Coalition is a Moscow-based association of Russian robotics firms formed to build a domestic humanoid, headed by Vladimir Vitukhin. Members include Aidol, the entity that owns the robot platform, registered months before the November 2025 launch with Vitukhin as sole owner; Promobot, the Perm service-robot maker of Alexei Yuzhakov, which supplied skin and eyes; and Corporation of Robots VDNKh under Artur Zarkhi. Four state universities contributed work. The coalition says the prototype took no outside private money and has talked of raising USD 30 to 50 million.

The robot, AIDOL, was presented on 10 and 11 November 2025 at a coalition forum in Moscow. Led on stage by two staff to the theme from Rocky, it took a few short steps, fell face first, shed parts and was covered with a black cloth. Vitukhin blamed lighting and calibration. The claimed specs are 19 facial servos under silicone skin giving at least 12 basic emotions, seven microphones, a 48 volt battery for up to six hours and 77 percent Russian-made components, with a target of 93 percent.

In April 2026 Aidol announced a USD 250,000 contract to supply robots as receptionists to an unnamed Japanese IT and gaming company, with delivery promised for mid 2026. No delivery had been reported by September 2026.
