Reflex Robotics

Reflex Robotics is a New York startup, founded in 2022 out of MIT, whose team came from Boston Dynamics, Tesla, Oculus, ASML, Anduril and Waymo. It raised a USD 7 million seed round led by Khosla Ventures, with the co-founders of Dropbox and Cruise among the backers; its site also lists Liquid 2 Ventures, Collab Fund, 8090 Industries and Tishman Speyer. The company does not name its founders on the pages consulted.

The robot is deliberately unglamorous: a torso and two arms on a wheeled base, with a vertical lift instead of legs, a payload of about 50 lb and a claimed battery life of more than 16 hours. It is teleoperated by default, with remote operators driving it from thousands of miles away, and the company says it learns autonomy from that operator data. Reflex argues the hardware costs roughly USD 10,000 to build, an order of magnitude below legged humanoids, and pitches a one-year payback in warehouses. It took part in GXO Logistics' multi-vendor humanoid trials in 2025.

In February 2026 Humanoids Daily reported plans for a factory in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, promoted as Latin America's first humanoid plant with more than 2,000 jobs, plus an R&D lease in San Francisco. Unit counts, revenue and headcount are not public, and the Mexico plan has no stated timeline or investment figure.
