Xiaomi

Xiaomi is the Beijing consumer electronics and electric car group founded in 2010 by Lei Jun and listed in Hong Kong. Its humanoid work sits in a robotics lab and has never produced a product for sale. CyberOne, unveiled by Lei on 11 August 2022 a year after the CyberDog quadruped, was a 177 cm, 52 kg biped with 21 degrees of freedom and a curved display for a face; Lei said building one cost 600,000 to 700,000 yuan, and the robot was a stage demonstration rather than a product.

The programme went quiet until 2026. In March 2026 Lei said Xiaomi could use humanoids in its factories at scale within five years. At the World Robot Conference on 21 August 2026 the company reported trials in its electric vehicle plant: installing self-tapping nuts at a 76-second cycle with 90.2 percent success in a first three-hour run, rising to 98 percent by July, and sorting console panels and folding material boxes at about 90 percent.

Executive Lu Weibing said humanoids remain some distance from mass commercialisation. There is no external revenue, unit count or headcount for the effort.
