What the record says.
Shenzhen Dobot Corp was founded in June 2015 by Liu Peichao and Lang Xulin and grew up on desktop and educational robot arms, starting with the Magician in 2016, before moving into factory cobots. It listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange on 23 December 2024, raising HKD 681 million. Revenue was CNY 286.75 million in 2023 and CNY 492.2 million in 2025, up 31.7 percent, with the net loss narrowed to CNY 84.0 million.
Dobot entered humanoids in March 2025 with Atom, a full-size biped priced at CNY 199,000, about USD 27,500, well below Western rivals at the time. Reuters reported the shares jumping on the launch; within months of the IPO the stock had more than tripled to a market value above HKD 30 billion before giving most of that back. Dobot claims straight-knee walking and 0.05 mm arm repeatability for tasks such as soldering, based on its own demonstrations.
On 27 June 2025, at an event in Nagoya, Japan, the company said Atom had entered mass production and handed over a first batch to customers, without stating how many units or naming buyers. In 2026 Dobot planned a secondary listing in Shenzhen to raise about CNY 1.2 billion, with CNY 250 million earmarked for humanoids. Atom unit sales are not broken out in its reports.
