Humanoid robot stocks: which of the 108 makers are actually listed
Twenty of the 108 makers in our record have a ticker. Four of them will sell you a humanoid. The rest build cars, chips, servers and washing machines, and the pure plays are all private.
Of the 108 humanoid makers in our record, 20 have a stock ticker. Sixteen of those are car makers, conglomerates or big tech companies for which a humanoid is one programme among many. Four are robotics firms, and only those four will sell you a humanoid today. None of this is investment advice. It is a count, made from our data as of 4 September 2026.
Twenty tickers, mostly in Hong Kong and Tokyo
The 20 split into 6 automakers, 5 conglomerates, 5 big tech companies and 4 robotics firms. By country: 7 Chinese, 5 Japanese, 3 Korean, 2 American, one each from Taiwan, Britain and Sweden. Hong Kong has 7 of the tickers, Tokyo 5. Only 3 are on Nasdaq in the United States (Nvidia, Tesla and Alphabet via Google DeepMind); the 4 NYSE names (Honda, Sony, Toyota, Xpeng) each also have an Asian ticker.

Four of the twenty will sell you one
Join the companies to the robots and the picture thins out. The 20 account for 37 of the 182 machines in our record. Seven are discontinued, 18 are not for sale, 6 are enterprise only. Six can be ordered, and those six are the entire listed share of the 44 buyable humanoids on our homepage. The other 38 come from private makers.
Three of the six are small: the UBTech Alpha at 40 cm and $499, the ROBOTIS MINI at 27 cm and $539, the 51 cm ROBOTIS OP3. The Rainbow RB-Y1 is a wheeled two-armed research platform, sold since 2024 with a teleoperation rig and no verified public price. That leaves two full-size bipeds: Dobot Atom, 153 cm, on preorder at CNY 199,000 (about $27,500), teleoperation partial in our record, and Tien Kung Xingzhe, a 170 cm research humanoid UBTech co-developed with Beijing’s X-Humanoid centre.
Two more listed companies have customers but no order form: Chery puts Mornine in its own dealerships in China and Malaysia, and Hexagon announced AEON pilots with Schaeffler and Pilatus on 17 June 2025. The strongest record is UBTech’s Walker S2: named customers BYD, Foxconn and Zeekr, a reported order book above CNY 800 million, a reported $68,000 price and a lease at about $5,000 a month. Its teleoperation field also reads partial.
Seven listed makers have a humanoid in prototype, pilot or research and nothing you can buy: GAC, Kawasaki, Midea, Tesla, Toyota, Xiaomi and Xpeng. Optimus Gen 2 works in small numbers inside Tesla’s own plants, and the units shown at We Robot on 10 October 2024 were remotely assisted, as Tesla staff confirmed. Three names (Hitachi, Honda, Sony) are here only for programmes they ended. Four (Foxconn, Google DeepMind, Nvidia, Samsung) have no humanoid of their own on file.
The pure plays are private
Of the 60 companies we classify as startups, 56 have no ticker. Thirteen of those disclose round sizes in our funding records; the disclosed sum is $4.03 billion. Figure AI alone accounts for $1.75 billion, at a $39 billion post-money valuation on 16 September 2025. Agility Robotics has $570 million on file, Apptronik $403 million. Boston Dynamics is 80 percent owned by Hyundai Motor Group. For scale, UBTech’s Hong Kong IPO on 29 December 2023 raised about $130 million.
Two Chinese pure plays are moving towards the market. Unitree completed pre-IPO tutoring on 18 July 2025 and filed for Shanghai’s STAR Market in November 2025. AgiBot agreed in July 2025 to buy 63.6 percent of Shanghai-listed Swancor Advanced Materials for about $293 million, widely read as a route to a listing. Neither carries a ticker in our record yet.
What “humanoid exposure” means in each case
Before calling a listed company a humanoid company, ask what would change for it if the humanoid programme stopped tomorrow. Nvidia sells GR00T models and a $3,499 Jetson Thor developer kit to almost everyone else and invests in Figure: exposure to the whole field, not to one body. Foxconn is a customer and a factory. Samsung owns 35 percent of Rainbow Robotics and has shown no humanoid of its own. The automakers run their robots on their own lines and in their own showrooms. Only UBTech, and to a lesser degree Dobot, sells humanoids to strangers at a price, and both sell other things too. Buying any of the 20 buys a company that does something else. The companies that do nothing but humanoids are, for now, not for sale either.
UBTech Walker S2
Walker S2 is UBTech's 2025 industrial humanoid and the first to swap its own battery, allowing round-the-clock operation. It has 52 degrees of freedom and is the product behind UBTech's large 2025 order announcements.
Dobot Atom
Atom is the first humanoid from Dobot, a Shenzhen collaborative-robot maker listed in Hong Kong. It launched at CNY 199,000 with claims of 0.05 mm arm precision.
Rainbow Robotics RB-Y1
RB-Y1 is a wheeled two-armed humanoid platform from Rainbow Robotics with 7-DOF arms and a 6-DOF torso, aimed at embodied AI research.

ROBOTIS MINI
ROBOTIS MINI is a 27 cm desktop humanoid built on DYNAMIXEL servos, controlled with block coding or Python. A safe, durable first robot for schools, and the smallest member of the family that runs up to the full-size OP3.
UBTech Alpha series
The Alpha series of 40 cm hobby humanoids built UBTech's early business and funded its later full-size Walker program. Alpha 1S robots performed on the 2016 Spring Festival Gala.
Tien Kung Xingzhe
Tien Kung Xingzhe combines the lower body of X-Humanoid's Tiangong with UBTech's upper body for the scientific research market. It launched in March 2025 at a list price of about CNY 299,000.
Chery Mornine
Mornine is a showroom humanoid from Chery's AiMOGA robotics unit, deployed in Chery car dealerships from 2025 and exported to Malaysia.
AEON
AEON is Hexagon's industrial humanoid, unveiled on 17 June 2025 at HxGN LIVE in Las Vegas. It combines legs with wheels for locomotion, hot-swappable batteries and Hexagon's measurement sensors, and is aimed at inspection, scanning and material handling in factories.
Optimus Gen 2
Optimus Gen 2, revealed on 12 December 2023, is about 10 kg lighter than Gen 1, walks 30 percent faster and has Tesla-designed actuators, an actuated neck and tactile fingers. It has been used for internal factory trials and at Tesla marketing events, where it was partly teleoperated. It is the version the public has seen most.
Optimus V3
Optimus V3 is the version Tesla describes as production-intent, with a new 22 DoF hand and forearm and a factory line in Fremont planned for 2026. Musk has repeatedly said V3 would be unveiled in early 2026 and that volume production is targeted for later in the decade. Tesla has stated a long-term ambition of one million units per year.
Midea humanoid
Appliance maker Midea, owner of KUKA, revealed its own humanoid in March 2025 and began using it in its Jingzhou factory two months later.
Xpeng Iron
Iron is Xpeng's full-size humanoid, first shown in November 2024 working in its Guangzhou car plant. The 2025 version adds 82 degrees of freedom, a bionic spine, solid-state battery and Xpeng's own Turing chips, with mass production planned for late 2026.
ASIMO
ASIMO, unveiled by Honda on 31 October 2000, was the best known humanoid of its era, evolving through several versions until the 2011 model that ran at 9 km/h. Honda ended development in 2018 and retired the robot from public shows in 2022.

Startups, automakers, universities: who builds humanoids
108 makers, nine kinds. Startups hold 37 of the 44 humanoids you can order. Automakers, universities, big tech, conglomerates and NASA hold 45 robots between them and sell none of them.
How a humanoid robot works: actuators, compute, sensors and the model
Of 182 humanoids on record, 178 say what moves the joints and 43 say what computer is inside. The further a layer sits from the metal, the less the maker tells you about it.
How long does a humanoid robot actually run
22 of 182 humanoids on record quote a runtime. The claims run from 1 to 8 hours with a median of 4, and of the 44 machines you can order, 4 say anything at all.
