Foxconn (Hon Hai)

Hon Hai Precision Industry, trading as Foxconn, was founded by Terry Gou on 20 February 1974 and is based in Tucheng, New Taipei. It is the world's largest electronics contract manufacturer, assembling iPhones and, increasingly, AI servers for Nvidia. Revenue reached NTD 8.103 trillion (about USD 259 billion) in 2025 and the group reported 767,062 employees in 2022. Young Liu has been chairman since July 2019. The stock trades in Taipei as 2317.

Foxconn's relationship with humanoids is mostly as a factory operator that lets other people's robots in. UBTech lists Foxconn among the partners for its Walker S1 industrial humanoid alongside BYD, Audi, Geely and SF Express, and UBTech says the robot has worked in Foxconn plants in China. Foxconn has been automating lines since at least 2016, so a humanoid pilot fits a long pattern rather than a new strategy.

On 29 October 2025 Foxconn said its Houston plant building Nvidia AI servers would be among the first to run humanoid robots using Nvidia's Isaac GR00T N model, with deployment planned for the first quarter of 2026 on tasks such as picking, placing and cable insertion. Which robot maker supplies the hardware, how many units are involved and whether the pilot is running have not been disclosed. Foxconn has no humanoid product of its own on sale.
