Neura Robotics

Neura Robotics was founded in 2019 by David Reger in Metzingen, a small town south of Stuttgart, and sells what it calls cognitive robots: collaborative arms, mobile platforms and the 4NE-1 humanoid. The company describes 4NE-1 as about 1.75 m tall, roughly 95 kg and with 42 degrees of freedom. It has not published how many 4NE-1 units have been built or delivered, nor named a site where the humanoid does production work. Its industrial partnerships (Bosch, Schaeffler, Dassault Systemes, AWS) are framed as integration and pilot programmes.

Money has arrived faster than deployments. A EUR 120 million Series B led by Lingotto closed in January 2025. On 10 June 2026 Neura announced a Series C of up to USD 1.4 billion, with Tether, Nvidia, Amazon, Qualcomm, Bosch, Schaeffler, the European Investment Bank, imec.xpand, Lingotto Horizon and InterAlpen Partners among the backers. The phrase up to matters: neither the company nor the press coverage has said how much is committed equity versus conditional tranches, and no valuation was disclosed.

Neura says its order book and deployment pipeline exceed USD 1 billion and that it aims for serial production of millions of robots by 2030, with a network of Neura Gyms training environments. Revenue, headcount and shipped-unit figures have not been published.
