What the record says.
Oversonic Robotics was founded in 2020 in Besana Brianza, north of Milan, by Fabio Puglia, an astrophysicist turned entrepreneur, and Paolo Denti, former CEO of the giftware company Thun. It now operates from Carate Brianza with sites in Milan and Rovereto and a US office in Ohio. Its December 2025 press release put the headcount at 65, about thirty of them engineers.
RoBee is a wheeled cognitive humanoid launched in 2021 in three versions, R for industry, M for healthcare and F for logistics. Its selling point is certification: CE machinery, CE medical class 1 and a string of ISO standards; the company says RoBee is the only humanoid certified for both industrial and medical use. It has worked in several Italian factories, with hospital pilots alongside.
The numbers are small but, unusually for this sector, published. Il Sole 24 Ore reported estimated 2025 revenue of EUR 4.5 to 5 million against a negative EBITDA of EUR 5.5 to 6 million, 95 percent of it Italian, with orders from Germany, France and the US. On 22 December 2025 STMicroelectronics signed a supply agreement for RoBee in several plants, starting at its packaging and test fab in Malta, and on 23 June 2026 ST, Fondazione ENEA Tech Biomedical and SpotInvest took stakes in the company. Unit counts are not disclosed.
1 humanoid tracked.
