Pudu Robotics

Pudu Robotics was founded in Shenzhen in 2016 by Zhang Tao (Felix Zhang), and made its name with wheeled delivery robots for restaurants such as BellaBot, later adding commercial cleaning and industrial delivery machines. It is one of the few robot companies in this database with real volume: over 80,000 units shipped by December 2024 and, by the company's April 2026 count, over 120,000 units in more than 80 countries, which Frost & Sullivan put at a 23 percent global share in 2023. Pudu said revenue doubled in 2025, with cleaning robots over 70 percent of the total.

The humanoids are a recent extension. The PUDU D7, a wheeled semi-humanoid with two arms, was announced in 2024 with commercialisation planned for 2025. The PUDU D9, a full-size biped at 170 cm and 65 kg with 42 degrees of freedom, a 20 kg arm payload and 2 m/s walking speed, followed on 19 December 2024 with a promise of pre-sales through its website. Pudu has not published shipment numbers or customer sites for either humanoid.

On 23 April 2026 Pudu announced a round of nearly USD 150 million at a valuation above USD 1.5 billion, taking cumulative funding past USD 300 million; investors were not named. Reports describe the raise as preparation for a listing in China or Hong Kong.
