Robosen Robotics

Robosen Robotics (Shenzhen) was established in 2008 by a group of robot hobbyists the company has never named individually. It is a consumer electronics maker, not a humanoid-platform company: its own history lists a small humanoid in 2009, a 1.6 metre domestic robot in 2013 and, in 2019, the Interstellar Agent T9, its first robot that changed shape by itself. Carscoops reported in 2021 that it employed about 150 people across R&D, production, marketing and service; the 2021 headcount is the only one on record. A US office in City of Industry, California handles Western sales.

The product that made it known was the Hasbro-licensed Optimus Prime of April 2021, a 19 inch robot with metal alloy parts that walks, converts into a truck on its own and speaks with new lines by Peter Cullen, sold at 699 US dollars through Hasbro Pulse. Disney's Buzz Lightyear followed in 2022, Grimlock and a Bumblebee in 2023, Megatron in 2024 and a G1 Bumblebee in 2025.

The K1 series, launched in 2021, is its unlicensed programmable humanoid line, sold to hobbyists and schools rather than industry. Unit sales, revenue and funding are not published.
