Profile

What the record says.

Galbot (Beijing Galbot Co., Galaxy General Robotics) was founded in May 2023 by Wang He, a Peking University researcher with a Stanford doctorate. It is a Beijing embodied-AI company rather than a bipedal humanoid maker: its G1 has a human-like torso, two arms and a wheeled base, and is sold for shelf stocking, picking, delivery and packaging.

The money has come fast. Galbot raised USD 153 million in June 2025 at a valuation above USD 1 billion, then more than USD 300 million in December 2025 at USD 3 billion post-money, with CATL, GGV and CICC among the investors; The Robot Report put cumulative funding at about USD 800 million. In March 2026 Caixin reported a further CNY 2.5 billion (USD 362 million) from the National AI Industry Investment Fund, Citic, Bank of China, SAIC and a China Mobile vehicle, and said Galbot was preparing a Hong Kong listing.

On deployments Galbot says its unmanned Galbot Stores run in more than 30 Chinese cities, that G1 units have worked warehouses around the clock for over a year, and that it has thousands of cumulative orders through partners including CATL, Bosch, Toyota, Hyundai and Great Wall Motor. These are company figures; no audited unit count or revenue has been published, and the headcount is not disclosed.
