What the record says.
Clone Robotics was founded in late 2021 by Dhanush Radhakrishnan, who acts as CEO, and Lukasz Kozlik, its CTO. Engineering is done in Wroclaw, Poland, with a US corporate presence that by 2026 included an office in Mountain View, California. Instead of motorised joints it builds skeletons pulled by bundles of artificial muscle it calls Myofibers, first air-driven and now water-driven.
Its first product was the Clone Hand, a tendon-driven robotic hand offered to researchers in 2023 at a listed price of USD 2,800. Bench-mounted torsos with two arms followed, and a Torso 3 with joint-angle feedback was shown in March 2026. The company reached a wide audience on 20 February 2025 with a video of Protoclone V1, a full anatomical android hanging from a gantry and twitching its muscles. The company claims over 200 degrees of freedom, 1,000 Myofibers and 500 sensors.
At the same time Clone announced Clone Alpha, a household android limited to 279 units with preorders promised for 2025. As of mid 2026 the reservation page carried no price, deposit or checkout, and no independent evidence had appeared of a Clone android standing, walking or completing a household task, let alone shipping. Funding has come from angels including Trevor Blackwell; no verified total has been disclosed.

Clone Alpha
Clone Alpha is the planned home android built on Clone Robotics' musculoskeletal technology, announced in December 2024 with a first batch of 279 preorder units. As of 2026 it remains a concept with no confirmed deliveries.
Protoclone
Protoclone is Clone Robotics' faceless musculoskeletal android with over 1,000 artificial muscle fibres, a synthetic skeleton and around 500 sensors. A video in February 2025 showed it twitching while suspended. It is the technology demonstrator for the planned Clone Alpha.
